About Michele

Michele Allen is an accomplished labor and employment attorney with more than two decades of experience representing clients in some of their most difficult and consequential workplace matters. Known for her strategic judgment, tenacity, and results-oriented approach, Michele represents employees, executives, professionals, employers, healthcare providers, and government entities throughout Delaware.

Michele has built a strong record of successful outcomes for her clients. She has secured favorable settlements in complex discrimination and wrongful termination matters, obtained dismissals of claims before administrative agencies, and successfully defended employers in federal and state court litigation. She also regularly negotiates employment, separation, and severance agreements for executives, physicians, and other professionals.

Her work has earned consistent recognition from the Delaware legal community. Delaware Today Magazine has named Michele a Top Lawyer in Labor & Employment Law every year since 2014, and she has also been selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers. Under her leadership as managing partner, the Firm has received recognition from U.S. News & World Report as a Best Law Firm in Employment and Labor Law.

Michele represents clients on both sides of the employment relationship, giving her a perspective that is particularly valuable in complex workplace disputes. She understands how employers evaluate risk and defend claims—and how employees and executives can effectively protect their careers, reputations, and legal rights. Whether the matter involves discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, employment contracts, severance negotiations, or civil rights claims, Michele approaches each case with a clear objective: develop the strongest strategy possible and pursue the best result available for her client.

Her practice extends beyond the courtroom. Michele represents clients in arbitration, mediation, and proceedings before administrative and regulatory agencies. She has represented healthcare professionals before professional licensing boards and regularly counsels physicians regarding employment agreements, practice transitions, and separation agreements.

Michele also advises employers before disputes arise. She works with businesses and organizations to identify employment-law risks, address difficult personnel issues, and make sound decisions concerning discipline, termination, workplace policies, and employment agreements.

Michele’s experience includes both private practice and significant public service. She served as an Assistant County Attorney for New Castle County, where she defended the County in employment and civil rights matters. Earlier in her legal career, she practiced with the Philadelphia Public Defender’s Office, where she successfully represented hundreds of clients in felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile cases.

She was also appointed to serve on the Delaware Workplace Bullying Task Force, advising the Delaware General Assembly on workplace policy and employment issues.

Before law school, Michele worked as an investigator for the Public Defender Service in Washington, D.C. That experience gave her an early foundation in investigation, case preparation, client advocacy, and understanding the facts behind a dispute—skills that continue to shape her approach to representing clients today.

For Michele, effective representation means more than knowing employment law. It means understanding what is at stake for the client, developing a strategy to achieve the client’s objectives, and being prepared to fight when necessary.

Michele is by far the best attorney I’ve ever hired — she fought for me in a wrongful termination, hostile workplace, and disability rights case with exceptional skill and compassion.
