About Alexis
Alexis joined Allen & Associates in 2025 after earning her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Widener University Delaware Law School. A Delaware native with deep roots in the First State, Alexis is committed to helping employees, professionals, and businesses navigate difficult workplace and employment-related challenges through practical advice, careful preparation, and effective advocacy.
Alexis represents employees, professionals, and employers in labor and employment matters before state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and professional licensing and regulatory boards. She works closely with her clients to understand what is at stake—whether it is their career, professional license, livelihood, business, or reputation—and develops a strategy focused on protecting their interests and advancing their objectives.
Her practice encompasses employment contracts and restrictive covenants, discrimination and sexual harassment, wage and hour disputes, disability accommodations, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Delaware Paid Leave matters, whistleblower and retaliation claims, wrongful termination, internal investigations, workplace safety matters, and professional licensure proceedings. Alexis represents employees, healthcare professionals, union members, business owners, and employers in both disputes and preventative employment matters.
Alexis brings a broad perspective to her practice through experience in the judiciary, private practice, and Delaware government. During law school, she served as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Sean P. Lugg of the Delaware Superior Court and the Honorable Jennifer B. Ranji of the Delaware Family Court. Those experiences provided firsthand exposure to judicial decision-making, courtroom advocacy, and the importance of careful legal analysis and preparation.
She also served as a Law Clerk at Parkowski, Guerke & Swayze, P.A., where she gained additional experience assisting with complex legal matters and client representation. Her experience in both a judicial setting and private practice allows her to evaluate legal issues from multiple perspectives and identify the practical considerations that can influence the direction of a case.
Alexis graduated summa cum laude from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and minors in Political Science and Sociology. Her longstanding interest in public service also led her to work in both the Delaware State Senate and Delaware House of Representatives, where she gained insight into the legislative process, public policy development, and the intersection of law and government.
That combination of legal, judicial, legislative, and governmental experience gives Alexis a broader understanding of the legal and regulatory issues that can affect her clients. She brings that perspective to her practice at Allen & Associates, helping clients navigate challenging workplace matters with an understanding of both the law and the practical realities surrounding a dispute.
Outside of her legal practice, Alexis enjoys spending time with friends and family at the Delaware beaches and teaching group fitness classes at HiLo House.
